We are a family-run vineyard and winery creating small batch, fine wines in traditional methods made proudly on our fourth generation family farm. We started the vineyard and winery as a way to preserve the family farm for future generations. Our vineyard currently covers about six acres.

Alchemy Herbal Wines offer ancient plant medicines in modern times; inspired by the bees, the seasons and a long history of female brewers concocting special formulas to support and celebrate their communities. We are dedicated to making high quality honey wines with local and seasonal honey, herbs, fruits and roots.

Appalachian Mountain Brewery (AMB) was dreamt-up and brought to life by founders Nathan Kelischek and Chris Zieber; two cousins who both bring unique skills and passions to the table. Their German heritage, love for our state and passion for the environment and outdoors has helped to form the vision of AMB. Upon opening the taproom in 2013, AMB became known as the first brewery in Boone, and quickly became known for brewing award-winning, high-quality beers and ciders.

Enjoy European-style ciders in a renovated 1940s barn in the midst of an orchard. The cider is made from traditional Henderson County apples, as well as from apple trees that have been transplanted from the Normandy region of France. Appalachian Ridge also makes pommeau, a blend of cider and apple brandy. All of the apples are grown, pressed and bottled on site, and the scenic back deck overlooks their orchard. Appalachian Ridge Artisan Cidery regularly has food trucks on site and hosts special events.

Located in Banner Elk, our winery processes locally grown grapes into excellent wines reflecting the unique characterizations of the Appalachian Mountains. Black Mountain Cider + Mead crafts dry cider and session mead from local apples and honey in an old furniture factory nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC. We ferment cider in small batches blended from heirloom apples to make cider that is real, never filtered, pasteurized, or tainted. The Bold Rock Mills River Cidery opened in October 2015 and is nestled in some of North Carolina’s most fertile farmland just 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville. Visit to learn about the process behind our cider crafted from locally sourced Henderson County apples and enjoy expansive views of the production floor and bottling line. We offer hard cider tastings as well as pints, flights, and even local craft beer.

Botanist & Barrel is the South’s only natural cidery — and first producer of Petillant Natural ciders — in the Southeastern United States, focused on spontaneous and wild culture wines and ciders. Known for creativity and an extensive barrel program, Botanist & Barrel crafts real southern ciders, co-ferments, and wines. Burntshirt produces a large selection of quality wines that have captured many national and international awards. Wines are made from 100% estate-grown grapes at two vineyards, which are among the highest elevation vineyards on the East Coast. The tasting room is popular with indoor and outdoor seating that overlooks 20 acres of grapevines, and often offers live music.

Eden Oaks Vineyard has been and continues to be a “labor of love” as well as a “work in progress.” We have accomplished so much. Yet, there is so much to be done. We are working on additional RV campsites with electricity and water and are going to install a dump station. We hope to open our wine and an antique store soon. We would love for you to visit. Perry’s Berry’s Vineyard and Winery is a family owned and operated Blueberry Farm and Winery. In 2013 Perry’s Berry’s was established as a pick your own Blueberry and Agritourism farm. In 2020 Perry’s Berry’s Vineyard and Winery was added offering semi-sweet and sweet wines made with fruit from our blueberries, plums, pears, peaches and scuppernong grapes. In May 2022 we released our first hard ciders. Blueberry Bistro opened in 2024 serving, crepes, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, and ice cream.

A wonderful pairing of traditional wines with 30-mile vistas from an expansive open-air tasting room at 3,000 feet in elevation atop Point Lookout Mountain. Point Lookout offers 10 dry and semi-sweet wines. Point lookout is also home to World’s Edge Meadery, which produces seven meads: wildflower and orange blossom, apple, raspberry, tropical fruit, chamomile and chai tea — all made with their honey wine; and has a coffee shop on site. Often has special events, food trucks and live music.

Our terroir is the sandstone foothills of North Carolina on the eastern side of the Linville Gorge, which often deflects the occasionally harsh west winds that bring storms in the summer and cold in the winter. It is a unique place that produces unique wine.

Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards was the first winery in Hendersonville when it opened in 2011. The vineyards are on land that has been in the same family for nine generations. Wines reflect that rich sense of place. Guided tastings showcase award-winning wines made from 14 varietals of French vinifera grapes. Free live music is regularly available on the outdoor covered patio adjacent to the vineyards, along with a food truck. Be sure to check out their tubular wine tastings. Saint Paul is located in the Crest of the Blue Ridge AVA.

We are small and purposeful in our mission. Our vineyard and winery are a family-run operation on land that has been farmed by the same family for six generations. Sawyer Springs produces vintages in small batches served in a rustic tasting barn.

Six Waterpots is a family-owned winery. We have wine tastings including Vinifera, Fruit, and Muscadine wines. The winemaker serves and describes each wine. We often have homemade cheese and crackers to go with your tasting.

In 2011, while restoring our 1878 farmhouse, we discovered the distinctive “Slanted Window” that had been previously covered over with siding. Peering from behind that window on the second-floor porch was a beautiful view of the sky and vineyard. The “Slanted Window” namesake gives us pause to consider different perspectives, not unlike the journey of winemaking and wine tasting. So pull up a chair and have a sip, because one glass can lead to a lifetime of memories.

Step into our piece of heaven to experience stunning views of the Yadkin Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains, springs and streams on a sprawling 25 acres. We plan to offer a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere, with a focus on wine appreciation and the process of wine production in a natural western North Carolina environment.

Souther Williams Vineyard specializes in European vinifera and American Hybrid wines in our open air pavilion tasting room by our picturesque vineyards where the mountains meet the vines. Our goal is to provide world class wines in a laid back setting in the heart of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains.

Artisanal winery and meadery focused on sustainability and natural wines. Our wines are foot-stomped and basket pressed in small craft batches. We received the triple dogwood sustainability rating by NC GreenTravel for developing an in-house bottle recycling program, composting to create a zero-waste stream, not using irrigation or chemical sprays in the vineyards, and sanitizing with ozone and biodegradable cleansers.

Enjoy a taste of Bordeaux in the Blue Ridge. Stone Ashe’s state-of-the-art tasting room rests on a bluff at 2,700 feet in elevation, surrounded by vineyards planted with vines cloned from Bordeaux. Stone Ashe chose the terroir of the Crest of the Blue Ridge AVA to produce wines for the world stage using classic grape varietals such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Riesling.
